A blend of Barbera, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.  The nose has hints of violets or rose, raspberry and forest floor.  Initially, it’s bright with fruits like cherry and raspberry.  Full flavor in the mid palate with richer flavors of leather and spice.  Medium tannins with a lingering finish.  Pairs well with dry meats and cheeses in the afternoon, maybe in Rome.
